Sonos: Sonos launches Sub Mini subwoofer for small-sized rooms

Sonos has expanded its home theatre portfolio with Sonos Sub Mini, a wireless subwoofer that delivers bold bass for smaller-sized rooms. The company claimed that the subwoofer delivers a powerful, balanced bass. It is built on the design of Sonos Sub subwoofer, and can produce rich, clear low-end audio in a more compact, cylindrical design, Sonos said.
Sonos Sub Mini price
Sonos Sub Mini subwoofer is available in India at a price of Rs 59,999.
“We’ve entered a more thoughtful era of streaming that prioritises quality over quantity, with creators and platforms investing in immersive entertainment experiences that put premium sound at the forefront,” said Maxime Bouvat-Merlin, SVP for Hardware and Operations at Sonos.
“Sub Mini is a welcome addition to the Sonos family, rounding out our home theatre product line-up so listeners can experience cinema-quality sound that makes them feel like the main character – or player – in their favourite content,” Bouvat-Merlin added.

Sonos Sub Mini features
Sonos Sub Mini is launched in matte black and white colour options. It features a round design that not only blends into users’ home aesthetic but also does not take too much space.
It is launched on the heels of two new soundbars – Beam and Ray. The company says that the subwoofer is small but mighty and boosts bass across movies, music, gaming and more. Sonos Sub Mini can also be paired with Sonos One Bluetooth speaker.
It features dual custom woofers and advanced processing that generate deep, dynamic low end while minimising buzz, rattle, and distortion for an immersive experience. The two woofers are fitted in an acoustically sealed cabinet, and they face inward to create a force-cancelling effect that neutralises distortion, Sonos claimed.

Sonos claimed that Sub Mini’s advanced digital signal processing maximises bass response and reproduces the full-toned low frequencies that are usually expected from a much larger subwoofer. It handles the low frequencies so that the paired speakers like Beam, Ray, One, or One SL can focus on more mid-range and high frequencies for a richer, more powerful sound experience.
Sonos Sub Mini offers seamless setup and fine-tune Sub Mini’s sound with Trueplay, “which detects and adapts the speaker’s sound for reflections off of walls and furniture, giving you the best listening experience for your room and setup,” the company said.
